Match the appliance to its connection
Have the new appliance model and its installation instructions ready, even if it looks like a simple replacement. The rated load and connection method may differ from the old unit while the outside dimensions stay similar. We’ll compare its requirements with the connection in your home to explain whether it is a direct swap or needs a different circuit arrangement.
Review the existing circuit and board
A higher-demand appliance or new cooking position calls for a look at the existing circuit and switchboard. When a new circuit may be needed
A new circuit may be needed when the chosen appliance asks more of the electrical installation or sits in a new position. The answer depends on its specifications, the current wiring and the home’s available capacity. Bring the instructions forward before purchase or booking if you can. That gives MPS a chance to explain the likely electrical work while you still have room to plan the kitchen change.

Moving to induction? We’ll check the new cooktop’s load and connection requirements against your existing circuit. Send the model instructions and photos of the cooking area to help us plan the electrical work. If you are changing from gas, arrange disconnection with the appropriate licensed trade before MPS handles the electrical installation.
Oven installation
A built-in oven may fit the cabinet but need a different electrical connection. A freestanding electric cooker adds the cooking surface, so its total load matters too. Share the new model, the old model if available, and photos of the space and switchboard so we can plan the electrical visit.
