Switchboard Relocation - Burwood

Steve got in touch with us because he wanted to install air conditioning at his home in Burwood, but the property didn’t have enough power available to support it. The existing switchboard and metering were also located near the front door, so it made sense to relocate everything while completing the upgrade.

We disconnected and removed the old switchboard and metering, then installed a new meter box enclosure in a more suitable position away from the front entrance. The switchboard and metering were relocated into the new enclosure, leaving Steve with a much neater and more practical setup.

While we were there, we also replaced the cooktop and oven as part of the same project. Completing these appliance installations alongside the switchboard work meant everything could be connected and tested as part of the upgraded electrical system.

Steve’s home now has the additional power needed for the new air conditioning, replacement appliances and anything else he may want to add later. Moving the switchboard away from the front door has also cleaned up the entrance and made the electrical setup easier to access in the future.
